Mary Potter Forbes is a Research Fellow at the IRMRC and her current project involves estimating the baseline incidence of falls in NSW public hospitals. Ms Mary Potter-Forbes is also the Research Manager at the Centre responsible for project management as well as strategy and development. Mary has a background in health service management, planning and resource allocation and has worked at the Centre on the costing of injury and the economic evaluation of injury prevention programs. She has undertaken studies for NSW Health and WorkCover NSW and has worked with Applied Economics on consultancies for the Commonwealth Department of Health and Ageing. Mary formerly lived in Hong Kong and Malaysia where she worked on health services planning projects funded by the Asian Development Bank as well as other planning and feasibility study for private and public sector organisations. She was contracted to establish and market the inaugural off-shore postgraduate program in Hong Kong for the former School of Health Services Management at UNSW (now incorporated into the School of Public Health and Community Medicine)
